Jenna Cook| Master Graduate (2016)

Jenna Cook Jenna is a graduate student in the School of Community and Regional Planning (Ecological and Natural Resources Planning stream) and in the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability Watershed Management Certificate program. She is a graduate from the University of Victoria (B.A. Geography and Environmental Studies) and from Vancouver Island University (Advanced Diploma in GIS). Prior to commencing graduate studies, she worked in the conservation sector where she worked on a variety of conservation management, research, and planning projects with the Provincial Government, NGOs, ­­­and in collaborative partnerships. At UBC, she worked as a Research Assistant on an evaluation of the effectiveness of conservation programs in Michoacan, Mexico; and on a survey about municipal water use and water metering policies.

Jenna graduated in 2016 with her research on local government plan implementation tools for addressing rainwater/stormwater management challenges at the watershed scale. Her project “Plan implementation tools for rainwater management in the Comox Valley electoral areas” is available online.
