Lily Raphael | Master Graduate (2019)

Lily is pursuing her master’s in Community and Regional Planning at SCARP, with an interest in public participation, stakeholder engagement, natural resource management, and ecological planning. Before beginning her Master’s, she served as Program Manager for UpSpring, a non-profit in Cincinnati, Ohio that creates educational programming for children experiencing homelessness. In this position Lily designed and delivered a stormwater education program for youth in Newport, KY to empower youth to learn about stormwater pollution and contribute to best management practices in the Licking River Watershed. Prior to this, she worked in Cuenca, Ecuador as Regional Coordinator for Community Empowerment Solutions, helping to create access to clean drinking water for schools, households and businesses in rural and indigenous communities across the country. Lily holds a B.A. in International Development Studies and a certificate in Integrated and Adaptive Water Resource Management from McGill University.
